Welcome to Whimsy ....
We are a small home-based kennel located in western Idaho. Over the past several years, we have successfully moved our primary focus from performance based activities to the conformation ring. Although much of Whimsy has changed, some things just stay the same. We will continue to offer Pembroke Welsh Corgis with sound temperaments as well as the physical attributes and tractability necessary for performance venues while being an outstanding companion.
A few years ago we acquired two adorable, scruffy Norwich Terriers and the look of Whimsy was forever changed. The opportunity to learn more about this breed along with finishing their championships has given me more opportunities to learn and grow both personally and professionally. I continue to be grateful for the wonderful friends we have and the new friends and partnerships we have made for without them none of this would be possible.
It is my belief that change comes to our lives and we must be ready and willing to accept the challenges it brings. Along with change comes the excitement and adventure of the unknown. This time change came because of the opportunities given me by knowledgeable handlers to prepare other breeds for show. I will be forever grateful to those who are willing to teach, listen to and answer my questions. Because of their guidance, patience and instruction we began 2010 by offering show dog training, grooming and conditioning for small, coated breeds as well as hand stripping terrier coats.
